Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site-level programs that ensure a safe and compliant workplace. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, training, and compliance initiatives to protect employees, equipment, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement annual Health & Safety action plans tailored to the site’s needs.

  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures through audits and performance indicators.

  • Design and oversee training programs and awareness initiatives to promote a safety-first culture.

  • Advise and support departments on risk prevention, workplace safety, and equipment compliance.

  • Lead site safety committees, management safety visits, and cross-audits.

  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Manage emergency preparedness plans, simulations, and response activities.

  • Maintain effective relationships with local authorities and regulatory agencies.

  • Oversee chemical risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in health and safety practices.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Strong technical knowledge (chemistry, physiology, biology, etc.) and ability to communicate with operations teams.

  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.) and standards such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001.

  • Skilled in risk analysis, emergency response, fire prevention, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to identify hazards, reduce risk, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in an EHS role.

  • HSE certifications (OSHA General Certificate or equivalent) preferred.

  • Demonstrated success managing regulatory compliance and safety initiatives in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

  • Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform safety inspections and training.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
